My experience at CDI Chungdahm/April Yeongdeungpo was extremely disappointing. From the start, there was a lack of organization and transparency. Promises made during hiring and onboarding were not followed through, and communication from management was often vague, dismissive, or contradictory.
The workload was far heavier than advertised, with unrealistic expectations placed on certain teachers. Instead of focusing on quality teaching, the system seemed more concerned with profit. The rigid teaching style being pushed here leaves little room for creativity, and the micromanagement can feel suffocating.
Support for most teachers was minimal, and feedback was rarely constructive often it felt more like nitpicking than actual guidance. Scheduling was also a constant problem, with sudden changes made last minute and little consideration for work-life balance.
Overall, CDI Chungdahm/April Yeongdeungpo is a place where burnout is inevitable. If you are considering working here, I would strongly advise weighing your options carefully. There are much better schools in Korea that value both their teachers and their students.
This is not a place where anyone would want to work. Just understand that as a foreigner, the organization will look down on you as a lesser xxxx. You will be treated as an outsider. Just imagine all of the horror stories you have heard coming from Korean Hagwons and it has occurred here. Do yourself a favor and stay far away!
