POLY (Dongtan)

I didn t experience the worst when it comes to Poly but Poly Dongtan definitely has issues. First, no prep time. They say you have prep time, but it s always less than forty minutes and it s usually with lunch or bus duty or right before elementary. They make you do bus duty. What is bus duty? You literally have to go meet the children as they get off the bus and take them to the school. Even though there is a Korean teacher there, you still have to do it. Prep time/workload: it s a lot, especially if you are a new teacher. You are expected to grade, write comments, write lesson plans for all your classes, do bus duty, fill out behavior scores, grade essays, and the list goes on. You will either have no break or one or two breaks, depending on if they like you or not. They take things very personal even if it s not work related. If you don t do something correctly, they will shame you for it. They will shame you in a big group chat so that everyone knows. Something like not having a clean apartment, they will call you out and shame you to death.
