Wouldn t Recommend This Kindergarten to Anyone

I worked at this kindergarten (now called Francis Parker, located at Achasan-ro in Guri it used to be known as Wiz Island), and honestly, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Pay was always late, every single month. I constantly had to message and follow up just to find out when I d get paid, which added so much unnecessary stress. Overtime hours piled up with no acknowledgment or compensation, and conversations about it always led nowhere.

There was also very little support for teachers. Basic things like textbooks were often ordered late, so we were expected to run classes without proper materials. Then once the books finally showed up sometimes two or three weeks into the semester we were rushed to finish everything in just a few days. It made no sense and created so much pressure.

One of the most frustrating parts was being asked to film the students repeatedly doing speeches or dances in English. Even if a child made a tiny mistake or looked away from the camera, we had to start over. Sometimes we d film the same video 30 50 times. It felt like the focus was more on appearance than actual learning.

Leading up to events, the workdays got even longer staying at work until 8 p.m. or later was just expected. If you couldn t stay, the attitude toward you changed quickly. It created a really uncomfortable atmosphere among staff.

I saw so many of my coworkers burn out emotionally. The kids were never the issue it was everything else that made this place so difficult to work at. [redacted]

There are definitely better, more supportive schools out there. This one just isn t worth the stress.
